MODERN WHEELED INFANTRY
FIGHTING VEHICLE

The TADEAS armored vehicle (Tatra Defence Armoured Solution) was designed and developed in the Czech Republic by TATRA DEFENCE VEHICLE (TDV) in collaboration with the Tatra Trucks automotive company. The project was initiated in response to the need for a highly resilient yet flexible armored vehicle capable of performing a variety of combat and non‑combat tasks within modern military and security forces.

CONSTRUCTION
AND MOBILITY

The vehicle is based on the proven Tatra 6×6 chassis, featuring a central load-bearing tube and independently suspended, air-sprung half-axles. The first and third axles are steerable, contributing to excellent maneuverability and off-road capability. The central tire inflation system and adjustable ground clearance allow the vehicle to quickly adapt to changing battlefield conditions.

The TADEAS vehicle offers above-average approach and departure angles and, in its standard configuration, can ford water up to 1,200 mm deep.

Ready
for Anything…

TADEAS features ballistic protection Level 4 and mine protection Level 4a/4b according to NATO standards. The crew is further protected by systems against the effects of chemical, biological, and nuclear weapons. The vehicle’s interior is spacious, ergonomically designed, and allows integration of various electronic, communication, and weapon systems, thereby increasing tactical versatility in deployment.

MOBILITY
AND PERFORMANCE

The TADEAS vehicle can be equipped with several types of power units. Air-cooled Tatra V8 engines deliver power ranging from 300 to 365 kW. Alternatively, liquid-cooled Caterpillar inline-six engines provide power from 395 to 447 kW. Both engine types can be paired with automatic, automated, or manual transmissions. This versatility allows the vehicle to be tailored to various specific customer requirements.

VERSATILITY
AND MODULARITY

TADEAS is designed as a universal armored platform for deployment in various roles and missions. It can serve as a command, communications, engineering, or reconnaissance vehicle, as well as a self-propelled mortar, ambulance, recovery vehicle, or intervention vehicle for rescue and police forces. The vehicle’s design allows seamless transport by rail and in most medium- and heavy-class transport aircraft, ensuring strategic mobility.

SPACE
AND SAFETY

The TADEAS vehicle offers a large interior volume and enhanced crew protection. Standard features include electrically operated side doors for the driver and commander and a folding rear ramp for quick and safe access to the rear compartment. The front and side windows are designed to provide maximum visibility. Roof hatch options are modular and can include mounts for crew‑served small arms.
